Will 4G smartphones see price cut after 5G rollout?

The 5G services would be rolled out in a phased manner. In the first phase, 13 cities -- Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Jamnagar, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Pune -- are likely to get the 5G mobile services.

State-owned BSNL has given a timeline of September 2022 for rollout of its 4G services across India, and estimated an incremental revenue of about Rs 900 crore in the first year from such rollout, Parliament was informed on Wednesday.
